A generously scaled Serapi in wool, organised around a large geometric medallion and serrated field, framed by multiple guard borders. Cream and neutral grounds carry a muted peach wash with soft blue details; visible abrash and medium wear have softened the pile and produced a lived-in patina. The drawn motifs retain strong geometry even as the surface shows age, so the piece reads as both architectural and tactile. Considered and earthy in tone, this antique rug demonstrates the quiet authority of time and handwork. Circa 1880 - 1895. Dimensions: 325 x 452 cm.
