A substantial Serapi woven in wool, its palette softened to warm neutrals and golds. At 358 x 554 cm the stepped central medallion and serrated mihrab read with architectural clarity, framed by palmette and vine borders. The field shows even fading and abrash; pile is softened with medium wear and modest edge loss that underline the antique rug’s lived surface. Faded browns and celadon highlights lend subtle colour depth while the geometric vocabulary remains legible. The overall presence feels tactile and grounded, a composed study in age and craft.
