A composed Serapi in wool, this antique rug (218 x 330 cm) presents a bold stepped medallion in a warm red field, set against an ivory border punctuated by teal and brown highlights. The pattern reads as architectural: angular floral vines, hooked palmettes and a strong central axis create a poised rhythm across the pile. Wear is modest, with gentle abrash and largely even surface depth that emphasises original dye tones and tactile grain.
