This Sultanabad in wool presents a muted brown and beige palette with traces of faded red and soft green. An all-over palmette and scrolling arabesque design sits within several narrow guard borders, the motif softened by extensive wear and a gentle abrash across the field. The high distress gives the piece a low-contrast, tactile surface and a softened visual centre that reads as a true antique rug.
