A narrow N.W. Persian wool runner, composed of repeating geometric medallions and angular motifs in indigo, rust and warm brown, set within an ivory serrated border and paired guard stripes. The piece shows low distress and an even, tactile pile with gentle abrash through the blue field; borders and ends are sound with minimal loss. The palette reads with composed restraint, the wool fibres catching light to reveal depth and texture. As an antique rug the piece balances graphic composition with a lived-in surface that speaks to traditional craft and time. Circa 1890 - 1930. Size: 107 x 444 cm.
