This N.W. Persian runner balances disciplined geometry with a tactile, aged surface: a deep navy field threaded with rust, muted green and gold medallions, framed by ivory guards and a russet main border. The wool shows low wear and subtle abrash, lending a soft, lived-in texture that emphasises handmade irregularities and careful composition. Circa 1885 - 1915. As an antique rug measuring 114 x 389 cm, it reads as a spare, crafted object where pattern, colour and time are inseparable, conveying a quietly authoritative sense of heritage and material tactility.
