A gracious Kashan in warm neutrals and brown tones, this antique rug carries a hushed, design-led presence. An all-over lattice of softened medallions and floral palmettes rests on an ivory-tinged ground, the multi-tiered border tracing delicate vine work in faded navy and blue-grey. Surface wear is medium and the pile shows even abrash, which warms the colour and imparts a softly lived texture. Borders remain intact with modest edge fraying that complements the aged surface. The substantial runner measures 419 x 879 cm. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
