A Kashan antique rug in wool, rendered as a sequence of figural vignettes within a roundel border. The restrained colourway, cream and white with soft blues, navy and rust, reads as an aged palette with delicate abrash and a low level of wear. The woollen fibre retains a soft hand and a crispness to the drawn figures, while fringes and edges remain tidy. At 130 x 224 cm the rug reads as a pictorial study, quietly animated by its compositional rhythm and material presence. Circa 1920 - 1950, it offers a measured, heritage-aware expression of narrative weaving.
