This Gharabah runner shows a disciplined repetition of leaf-like medallions on a rich brown ground, worked in red with neutral highlights in wool. Angular serration and small star rosettes animate the central field while a narrow, multi-band floral border contains the motif sequence. The piece is low in wear, with gentle abrash that softens the palette and preserves the woven texture. An antique rug with evident craft and considered proportions, it measures 91 x 378 cm and retains a quietly assertive, tactile presence. Circa 1885 - 1905. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
