This Gharabah wool runner reads as a restrained study in brown, ivory and gold; an all-over medallion lattice populated by floral rosettes and palmette forms. The outer guard border repeats a simplified floral centre, framing the long field with measured rhythm. Medium distress and softened pile reveal gentle abrash and a tactile patina that emphasises the rug's age and hand. The proportions are long and elegant, 213 x 559 cm, with visible low-pile areas and sympathetic edge work. As an antique rug it carries quiet craft and material warmth, a piece that privileges texture and tonal depth. Circa 1885 - 1905.
