An elegant Gharabah in wool, the composition set on a deep neutral ground worked in brown and gold tones. The all-over lattice of rosettes and hooked motifs creates a disciplined, repeating surface, contained by a palmette border. Wear is low and even, producing a gentle mellowing of the colours and a soft, tactile finish that speaks to careful use and age. The piece reads as an antique rug with restrained scale and disciplined repeat. Circa 1885 - 1905. Exact size: 198 x 549 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
