This Kashan runner is woven in wool and composed as a two-register figural narrative where riders, attendants and a palace stair unfold in muted red, neutral and sage tones. A scrolling floral guard border frames the pictorial centre and a small calligraphic cartouche anchors the design. Distress is low and the pile retains a soft hand; subtle abrash across broad fields gives the surface a layered, lived-in quality. The piece reads as a period antique rug, measuring 130 x 218 cm.
