The palette favours warm browns and creams against neutral ground, the wool pile showing a soft, aged lustre and low distress that preserves pattern clarity. Subtle abrash across the field and a gentle centre fade create a layered patina rather than damage; the borders remain articulate with delicate palmette and arabesque work.
