This Khotan antique rug measures 132 x 310 cm and shows a long, slender composition drawn in pink, neutral, white, and cream with deeper blue-grey notes. The central field is arranged with repeating floral and geometric motifs, then held within narrow decorative borders that soften into the worn pile. Medium distress gives the surface a faded, tactile quality, with abrash and edge character visible throughout. Circa 1900 - 1930, it reflects the restrained balance and gently weathered presence associated with a mature Khotan. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
