This Khotan antique rug, 173 x 330 cm, is woven in wool with a muted palette of dusty rose, terracotta, cream, taupe, and ochre. Its long, structured field is animated by geometric corner brackets, scattered floral roundels, and a layered border with scrolling, Khotan-inspired detail. The surface shows medium wear and an even, lived-in fade that softens the pattern without losing its clarity. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reads with a calm, heritage-rich presence, where age has gentled the colour and given the composition a refined, tactile quiet. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
