This Khotan antique rug measures 259 x 480 cm and balances a pale blue-grey field with coral red, cream, ivory, and muted brown accents. Two diamond medallions create a clear central rhythm, softened by scattered floral motifs and finely drawn blossoms that move across the ground. The layered border system, from the floral inner band to the narrow guard borders, lends definition and historic depth. With low distress and gentle, even wear, the rug retains its pattern with a calm, lived-in presence. Circa 1900 - 1935. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
