This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 401 x 434 cm and carries a subdued palette of cream, white, taupe, muted brown, and soft grey, with traces of faded burgundy. An allover floral field is enclosed by several narrow borders, each carrying refined repeating ornament that now appears gently softened by wear. The surface shows pronounced distress, with areas of abrasion and washed contrast that lend the piece an understated, lived-in character. Circa 1920 - 1935, it offers a quietly layered composition, where the design is still legible beneath a veil of age and patina.
