Woven in wool, its palette of dusty blue, cream, brown, muted rose, and sage has softened into an even, well-aged surface with a gentle patina. The drawing remains lyrical and structured, with the border still offering a clear frame around the more diffuse centre. Circa 1925 - 1945, it reflects the quiet depth and material warmth of a timeworn antique rug. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
