This Afghan antique rug measures 112 x 170 cm and presents a calm, weathered palette of taupe, brown, cream, and ivory. Three stacked octagonal medallions define the centre, each filled with compact geometric detailing and framed by a pale field that keeps the composition open and measured. Around it, layered borders and softly irregular outer grounds create a worn, textural edge. Medium distress has softened the drawing, with visible fading and subtle abrash adding depth to the surface. Circa 1950 - 1975, it has the hushed character of a rug shaped by time.
