This Khotan antique rug measures 221 x 406 cm and has the hushed, worn character that comes with age and use. Three pale medallions sit in sequence through a faded coral field, framed by subtle floral ornament and a composed border structure. Wool lends the surface a muted, tactile quality, while the palette has settled into blush pink, warm beige, ivory, and soft gold tones. Circa 1900 - 1920, it is strongly abraded and softly faded, with irregular wear that lends the whole piece a gentle, weathered grace. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
