This Khotan antique rug measures 185 x 358 cm and carries a restrained, time-softened presence in wool. The composition balances a faded central field with scattered round floral motifs, all worked in red, neutral, white, and cream. Layered borders, including a slim floral guard border, define the perimeter while allowing the interior to feel open and gently worn. Medium distress gives the surface a lived-in patina, with visible fading and softened detail that enhance its depth. Circa 1910 - 1935, it reflects the calm geometry and heritage character associated with Khotan weaving.
