This Khotan antique rug measures 140 x 343 cm and carries a warm, aged palette of coral pink, rust red, neutral beige, violet, and indigo. Its long field is organised with geometric medallions, floral roundels, and small compass motifs, all enclosed by a layered border with sharp patterning and a vivid pink outer frame. The wool surface shows light wear and softly muted colour, giving the design an easy, settled character. Circa 1900 - 1925, it reflects the measured symmetry and decorative richness associated with Khotan weaving, while remaining grounded and tactile in its overall finish.
