This Khotan antique rug measures 211 x 389 cm and offers a calm, formal composition with an aged, textural finish. A neutral field is animated by small floral motifs and two blue roundels, framed by Greek key borders, angular corner details, and a scrolling outer edge in cream, brown, and softened blue. The wool pile shows low distress, with gentle fading and a lightly abraded surface that gives the design a settled presence. Circa 1915 - 1940, it captures the measured geometry and subdued colour language often found in early 20th-century Khotan weaving.
