This Khotan antique rug measures 246 x 470 cm and has the calm, faded character of a piece shaped by time. Woven in wool, it combines white, cream, and pale pink notes with a softened border of scrolls, floral forms, and geometric accents. The central medallion remains visible, though gently subdued by age and medium distress, which gives the surface a fine, lived-in texture. Circa 1925 - 1955, this Khotan holds its ornament lightly, allowing the composition and muted colour to sit in quiet balance. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
