This Khotan antique rug measures 168 x 340 cm and pairs a pale neutral ground with coral red, cream, and softened rose notes. Its central field is arranged in a regular lattice of geometric forms, punctuated by stylised floral and symbolic motifs, then framed by layered borders with angular repeats and delicate blossom accents. The wool pile shows low distress and a restrained, even fade that enhances the rug's aged character without diminishing its pattern. Circa 1900 - 1935, it reflects the composed geometry and decorative restraint often associated with Khotan weaving.
