This Khotan antique rug measures 102 x 213 cm and reflects the restrained symmetry often associated with early 20th-century weaving. A warm golden ground surrounds a long central panel, where floral urn forms, scrolling corner ornaments, and dark linear outlines set a composed, architectural rhythm. The border, dotted with small round floral motifs, brings a lighter decorative note to the overall design. Woven in wool with medium distress, the surface shows softened contrast, gentle fading, and subtle tonal variation. Circa 1900 - 1915, it presents an aged, tactile character in peach, lavender, ivory, and mellow yellow.
