This Needle Point antique rug measures 46 x 46 cm and is worked in wool with a poised, square arrangement. Nine round floral medallions form the centre of the design, surrounded by delicate vinework, tiny blossoms, and a slim double border that keeps the composition crisp and balanced. The colour story is warm and quietly layered, with ivory, muted red, sage, soft gold, rose, and teal creating a gentle sense of depth. Circa 1880 - 1895, it shows low distress and subtle edge softening, giving the rug a softly aged surface while preserving the clarity of its decorative pattern.
