This Khotan antique rug measures 244 x 503 cm and brings together faded red, blush pink and warm neutral tones in a field softened by age. Its allover floral composition is partially veiled by wear, giving the design a hushed, almost watercolour quality, while the border and guard bands retain enough detail to anchor the layout. Woven in wool, it presents medium distress, gentle abrash and a mellow surface that speaks to long use.
