This Khotan antique rug measures 201 x 391 cm and has the hushed, weathered look of a piece shaped by age. Woven in wool, it combines a cream and ivory ground with faint floral motifs, a narrow stepped border, and traces of muted rose along the frame. The design is lightly held together by wear, so the pattern reads as a soft echo rather than a strict repeat. High distress, fading, and tonal variation give the surface a calm, textural depth. Circa 1915 - 1945, it presents the restrained elegance often found in Khotan weaving.
