This Khotan antique rug measures 94 x 185 cm and shows the disciplined geometry and floral intricacy associated with the type, set against a saturated red ground with blue, white, cream, and dark border tones. Tall stepped medallions anchor the centre, each filled with finely worked floral detail, while the surrounding field and border carry a dense, almost mosaic-like cadence. Wool gives the surface a warm, tactile finish, and the low distress leaves the design clear, with only gentle age wear and softened edges.
