This Khotan antique rug measures 190 x 371 cm and brings forward a calm open-field design in wool. An ivory ground supports tree-of-life branches, rosettes, a central medallion, and stepped corner forms, while the border holds the composition with a measured floral rhythm. Muted red, dusty pink, tan, and charcoal create a subdued palette with warmth and depth. Circa 1900 - 1930, it shows medium wear, with softened contrast and an aged surface that gives the rug a quietly layered presence. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
