This Khotan antique rug measures 130 x 244 cm and is rendered in a muted blend of brown, cream, white, and beige. Its elongated field holds an allover floral lattice, rounded medallion-like forms, and refined borders that frame the composition with balance and restraint. Medium wear has softened the wool and reduced the contrast, leaving a surface with warmth, patina, and visible age. Circa 1910 - 1935, it reflects the grounded elegance and layered ornament associated with Khotan weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
