This Khotan antique rug measures 183 x 361 cm and presents a hushed, time-worn character in wool. The composition centres on a spacious field enclosed by a finely worked border, where repeating geometric and Kufesque motifs create a measured frame. Warm beige, sand, muted brown, and soft taupe carry the surface, with faded blush tones visible beneath the wear. Medium distress has softened the drawing and evened the colour, giving the rug a gentle, lived-in texture. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reflects the calm, layered restraint associated with Khotan rugs.
