This Khotan antique rug measures 173 x 330 cm and is drawn in rust red, brown, taupe, and muted grey, with a quietly weathered surface that keeps the pattern legible. Four large medallions anchor the field, while smaller floral motifs and geometric emblems create rhythm across the ground. A series of borders, including Greek key corner devices, completes the composition with considered structure. Woven in wool and showing low distress, it has a softened hand and gentle wear. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reflects the measured geometry and earthy tone of a classic Khotan.
