This Khotan antique rug measures 142 x 274 cm and has the subdued, weathered elegance of an old wool textile. The layout is refined yet understated, with a long central field, dispersed floral and geometric motifs, and slim borders that hold the composition in place. The neutral white and cream colour story has mellowed into layered ivory and beige tones, with faded outlines and softened detail throughout. Circa 1900 - 1920, it shows marked distress, tonal variation, and an aged surface that lends the rug a quietly tactile, heritage-worn character.
