This Khotan antique rug, 122 x 295 cm, combines an ivory centre with a dark brown border and notes of gold, cream, white, and grey. The layout is richly patterned, with small geometric emblems, floral forms, and symbolic motifs set across the field, then enclosed by a floral outer border and fine inner guards. Woven in wool, it shows medium distress, softened tone, and visible age wear that deepen its character without obscuring the design. Circa 1950 - 1965, it reflects the measured rhythm and decorative restraint associated with this Khotan tradition.
