This Khotan antique rug measures 132 x 254 cm and shows the calm irregularity of age through its softened field and gently worn red highlights. The layout is composed of small floral and geometric cartouches, enclosed by a structured border and finished with angular corner accents that give the piece a quiet architectural rhythm. Woven in wool, it reads in neutral, cream, white, and faded brown tones, with red providing the clearest contrast. Circa 1880 - 1900, the rug has a settled, weathered presence that preserves its pattern while allowing the surface to feel beautifully aged.
