A muted ivory ground is set against red and pink ornament, while the borders build in detail and contrast, lending the composition clarity and depth. The central medallion sits quietly within an airy arrangement of small-scale motifs, creating a balanced, composed presence. Low distress, light fading, and softened wear contribute to its aged surface. Circa 1910 - 1930, it carries the distinctive decorative language of Khotan rugs.
