A quietly faded Khotan in wool, the field arranged in repeating diamond medallions with floral-star centres and stepped lattice grounds. The palette of red, cream, white and soft pink has softened with age, producing a harmonious, almost watermarked surface. Low distress and delicate abrash suggest gentle use; the borders remain well defined with modest edge wear that preserves the composition. Circa 1895 - 1915. Measurements: 274 x 518 cm. The result is an antique rug whose subtle patina and measured geometry feel tactile and archival, a restrained example of traditional Khotan design.
