A quietly aged Khotan in wool, presented in a long runner proportion with a soft, low pile. Measuring 198 x 391 cm, the ground is a warm cream and beige with a faint central medallion and dispersed stylised floral and tree motifs. The repeating geometric border reads clearer than the field, which shows pronounced abrash and surface wear that reveals earlier colour layers. This antique rug has a tactile patina and restrained composition, the faded surface emphasising craft and time-worn character. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
