Compact and composed, this Sivas antique rug presents a pronounced red medallion set into a gold and neutral ground, articulated by stylised floral vines. The wool fibre retains warmth and a low level of wear, preserving motif definition and a softly tactile surface. The border sequence, with repeating floral cartouches and narrow guard bands, balances the central axis with quiet rhythm. Circa 1895 - 1915. Size: 130 x 173 cm. Subtle abrash and a calm patina give the piece a considered sense of age and layered colour. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
