A Sivas of purposeful restraint; a stepped central medallion sits within layered registers of floral and animal emblems, the design softened by time. Wool fibre holds a vintage patina of coral, rust and seafoam against a slate ground, the surface showing even wear and attractive abrash across the field and borders. The palette and worn texture emphasise craft and age, presenting the rug as a studied, collected object rather than a reproduction. Circa 1880 - 1920. Exact size: 208 x 310 cm.
