A foliate inner border and a wider roundel outer band contain the design, their worn outlines emphasising age and tactility. Medium distress and gentle abrash soften the palette and reveal the rug's lived history. This antique rug reads as quietly made and quietly used. Circa 1890 - 1910. Measures 193 x 353 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
