A restrained Larestan woven in wool, its warm tan field quietly worn to a mellow, almost single-colour ground. Faint floral and star motifs sit within narrow repeat borders, their outlines softened by extensive abrash and long-term use. Visible stitched repairs and frayed edges attest to conservation rather than erasure, and cream highlights pick out the ghosted design. Circa 1900 - 1920. This antique rug measures 366 x 450 cm and carries a tactile, heritage character where wool fibre and time have combined to produce a subdued, sophisticated surface. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
