A compact Needle Point stitched in wool, the cream ground threaded with soft blue ribbon garlands and rose sprays around a central tied tassel and laurel wreath. The field shows medium distress with mellow abrash and gentle edge wear that expose the piece's lived texture. This small antique rug, 46 x 53 cm, retains a warm tactile fibre and a restrained palette of cream, blue and muted pinks; its composition reads like an atelier study of colour and stitch. Circa 1880 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
