Needle Point wool textile with an antique rug sensibility, the cream centre populated by a column of roses and trailing foliage in olive and pale green, contained by a slim pink border and a carved foliate frame. A mossy log motif crowns the composition, lending a pastoral decorative centre. The piece shows medium wear, abrash and worn edges that emphasise its age and handworked surface. Circa 1880 - 1900. Measurements: 61 x 99 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
