A compact Turkaman rug rendered in red and neutral tones, the surface composed of repeated diamond guls framed by narrow geometric guard borders. The wool pile shows low wear and soft abrash across the red field, lending a layered colour depth while edges remain intact with short tassels. This small antique rug reads as both tactile and highly patterned at 36 x 81 cm, an object that holds the hand and the eye in equal measure. Circa 1890 - 1925. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
