A compact Turkaman in wool, 102 x 152 cm, this piece shows a measured field of repeating gul motifs on a warm cream ground. Deep red guard borders and narrow geometric stripes surround the centre, where small motifs align in strict registers. Wear is low and the palette keeps clear, layered colour with fine abrash that suggests hand and time. The fringe and edges are intact, preserving its considered presence as an antique rug. Circa 1900 - 1920. The tactile fibre and disciplined patterning read as a study in traditional tribal craft.
