This Khotan presents a subtle blush ground and creamy medallion, handwoven in wool and softened by age. Scattered rosettes and geometric corner brackets sit within a narrow inner reserve and a wide border of cloud-like scrolls punctuated by pale yellow accents. The pile shows medium wear and even abrash, a mellowed patina that emphasises tactility and time. As an antique rug in muted tones, it reads as quietly architectural yet intimate. Circa 1910 - 1930. Size 178 x 320 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
