An expansive Kerman rendered in a soft, neutral palette, this antique rug measures 310 x 556 cm. The panelled layout organises a series of rectangular cartouches and narrow vertical registers, filled with scrolling vines, palmettes and restrained floral sprays. High distress has faded the ground into a luminous cream, lifting pattern edges and creating a worn, tactile surface with gentle abrash across the field.
